Sorry to hear about your wife. I lost my husband of 26 years to ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) last August so I realy can feel your pain. I hope you can finde it in your heart to continue helping people. I have found that the more I help out the more I can make something positive come of it.

I also found that talking/typing about it has helped me. My husbands Mac sits on my desk beside my PC. He had put software on it for me and it makes me feel as though he is close by.

One thing I know you must do is force yourself to eat and maintain your own health. Also when friends and family try and get you out of the house, please go with them. You may not feel like at the time, but afterwords you will always be glad you did. It also makes them feel good that they are helping you.

Also don't let anyone tell you how you should be. Every individual is diferent and you will move on only when you are sure in your heart that she will be with you always. Something that helped me when my husband was sick was to be reminded that God only dishes out what you can handle. If you trust in God now more than ever everything will fall in to place. Just like my husband, your wife is saving a place for you in heaven.

Now you must figure out how to live life for the both of you.

I am so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. May you be granted the peace that passeth understanding, and may you find comfort in your relationships with other friends and family members. Sincerely, Penny
